I have a set of Ragley Luxy bars on my cross bike. Suspension is a future upgrade.not a discussion right now. If you have any sources I'd be appreciated! Doesn't have to be 'aero' with sexy shapes, simple round design is what I'm looking for. So I ask why is it so hard to find Drop bars wider than 46cm? I'm more interested in carbon bars wish makes is even rarer to find. I got interested in opening this discussion because I am getting a Cervelo C3 soon, but I'm full of ideas and modifications in my head and one of them is to get a Wider Drop bar! This is going to be my very first 'road' bike (I mean a bike with Drop bars).but when I think about the requisites of a MTB in order to provide a comfortable and safe riding experience, at least 540mm bars and suspension fork comes to mind, therefore if I intend to take the C3 to the trail and potentially encounter harsher terrains, yeah I want my bike to have those features. So here is a Theory: Its pretty clear that is trending in the industry a metamorphose of Road bikes to something more capable disc brakes are here to stay, 'road' frames and forks with more and more clearance, geometry is changing, bigger and bigger tires.and the purpose of this thread, why not wider drop bars?
